The leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra (Nnamdi Kanu) may have finally succeeded in getting Nigerian government to sign a treaty documents.
A source close to IPOB leadership who do not want his name in print told EBONYI DAILY NEWS that IPOB heavily represented by Nnamdi Kanu along with some Israeli emissary and UK observers witnessed as Nigerian government signed a treaty to out rightly hold Biafra Referendum, Quash the judgement which declared IPOB as unlawful group, cease the incessant killings and arrest of IPOB members among others.
“Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB mounted a serious pressure on Nigerian government through the Election Boycott, that was why Buhari ‘s administration swallowed pride to enter this pact” the source said.
When asked while it was shielded from the press, the source quoted “Nothing is programmed for the press, at the moment nothing, our leader will speak on this personally as at when due.
Meanwhile, EBONYI DAILY NEWS correspondents who sought the opinions of this report from other top IPOB officials is yet to get a response as at the press time.
